Cork Postman delivers smiles as well as parcels!

Cork postman Kevin Ruby has been the talk of the town in Mallow this week, as he has taken to sharing duties with his friend and trainee postman Tedeen. The pair have been a hit with local residents, bringing much needed joy to both young and old on their daily route.

Ireland feeds its Covid-19 heroes

In just over a fortnight, Irish people have donated over €600,000 to help feed the country’s frontline medical staff. Feed the Heroes has been delivering thousands of meals to Irish health services over the last two weeks, and the generous response from the Irish public has been a heart warming feel good story!

Cork students 3D printing equipment for frontline staff

Students at Kinsale Community School have been working on producing face shields for frontline medical staff. Using 3D printers, the students have come together to form an assembly line which will provide the equipment to medical staff free of charge.

No doubt inspired by the videos of neighbours joining each other in song from across the globe, Cork was not to be outdone this week. Led by local musician Lorcan Geaney, the residents in the Elysian apartment complex took part in an impromptu sing-song. Even Neil Diamond retweeted the video!
