Merry Christmas from AM O’Sullivan PR
As we approach the end of 2022, it is an opportune moment to stop and reflect. When sitting down to draft an end of year note in December 2020 and December 2021, the spectre of the COVID-19 pandemic loomed large, impacting our lives and livelihoods in ways that we could never have imagined. Whilst the worst of the pandemic seemed to subside in early 2022, our world continued to be blighted by uncertainty on a number of fronts, yet our collective resilience has remained steadfast throughout. There is a sense of greater collaboration and connection with each other that remains central to our lives.
An increased focus on the value of public relations and communications has been evident, as the events of recent years have taught organisations the importance of connecting with stakeholders, both internal and external. We have seen growing interest in internal communications, with many of our clients engaging in training and workshops with their teams. Above all else, we live in a world where organisations are now even more conscious of their reputations and their impact on the communities in which they operate.
Cork has continued to represent an appealing location for our multinational clients, thanks to the availability of a thriving ecosystem to support growth. 2022 marked the beginning of the next iterations of Cork City and Cork County Development Plans, underscoring the potential of the region as it continues on a growth trajectory at a faster rate than any other part of the country.
This year has seen a welcome return to in-person events and media relations activity, something which we dearly missed during the darkest days of the pandemic. It has been wonderful to get out and meet with our clients again and, in very many cases, meeting people in-person that we have only known ‘virtually’ to-date!
Our membership of IPREX, the global communication network, continues to equip us with international links and communications best practice, providing benefits for both our clients and for the AM O’Sullivan PR team.
As a strategic communications partner, and trusted advisor to large indigenous and multinational clients, together with a number of charities, AM O’Sullivan PR is proud to work with many leading companies who make a difference to all of our everyday lives through their vital work. As we look to 2023, I believe that our collective resilience, adaptability, connections and communication skills will continue to guide us as we navigate an ever-changing landscape.
Please note that our offices will close on Thursday, December 22nd 2022, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at 9am.
Wishing you and yours a safe and peaceful festive season and a prosperous 2023.
Best regards,
Ann-Marie
