Network Ireland West Cork Business Women to have a ‘fearless’ start to 2019 with event at Inchydoney

The first Network Ireland West Cork event of 2019 entitled “Be Fearless” will take place at Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019 at 6:00pm. The event seeks to inspire West Cork’s most ambitious and enterprising women to be fearless in the face of challenge. Guest speakers include Susan Steele, Chair of the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority, and Fiona O’Donnell, Owner of West Cork Fit.

Susan Steele is a dedicated year round sea swimmer, an avid endurance runner, with over 70 marathons under her belt, an ultra-runner and Ironman participant. She has been shortlisted in the Most Devoted Person to the Outdoor Scene (professional) category in the 2019 Outsider People of the Year Awards.

Speaking ahead of the event, Susan Steele said: “I’m so excited to share the confidence, skills and techniques I’ve picked up as both a motivational speaker and from my role at the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority with my fellow West Cork business women. As Irish women, we have a tendency to self-doubt. Through organisations like Network Ireland West Cork, we can break this habit.”

Empowering change is what Fiona O’Donnell’s is all about. West Cork Fit is her mast head which encompasses wellness, fitness training, healthy vibrant recipes, lifestyle management and a holistic approach to all the above. Her ethos is ‘health first’ and while happy to tailor diets for individuals who have short term goals, her real aim is lifelong health and wellness.

Fiona O’Donnell also spoke of her excitement ahead of the January event. “The Network Ireland West Cork January event is all about preparing business women for the year ahead, with lots of confidence, motivation and health tips to make the journey that bit easier. We all have ups and downs, but we’re looking forward to helping West Cork business women celebrate the highs and become fearless.”

Ciara Lucy, President of Network Ireland West Cork, said: “As women in business, being fearless is a key to success, but it is often something that we have to learn rather than have as an inherent quality. “Be Fearless” is the Network Ireland West Cork motto for 2019 and it is something that we want to instil in members and who better to help us than Susan and Fiona! We’re committed to helping business women become the best versions of themselves.”

Network Ireland West Cork holds networking events for members and guests in different locations in West Cork on the last Wednesday of every month.
